Headquarters and primary manufacturing facility consists of 86,000 sq ft in the Pencader Corporate complex in Newark, Delaware.  The Molded Products Division is situated in a 33,000 sq ft building located in Northern New Jersey.

Engineered for Excellence

Polyform Molded Products solve a multitude of problems in end-use applications. Manufactured expressly for energy management, they offer absorption, transmission loss, damping and isolation - all in one product. They accomplish this by encapsulating and isolating components that product noise and vibration, plus they're excellent shock isolators.

Noise Absorber/Sound Absorption Foam

Polydamp® Acoustical Foam (PAF) is an acoustical grade, open cell, flexible ether based urethane foam designed to give maximum sound absorption per given thickness. Ether foams offer excellent resistance to heat, moisture, chemicals and are hydrolytically stable.

Applications include medical equipment, business equipment & equipment cab compartments.

Polydamp® Acoustical Foam (PAFS) is an open cell, flexible polyester based acoustical grade, polyurethane foam designed to give maximum sound absorption per given thickness. Ester foams offer excellent resistance to heat, moisture, chemicals and superior physical properties. 

Applications include medical equipment, business equipment & equipment cab compartments.

Polydamp® Melamine Foam (PMF) is an extremely lightweight insulation material which exhibits exceptional resistance to heat, low flame propagation and smoke. It possesses excellent thermal and acoustical insulation properties.

Applications range from HVAC and ECS ducts to wall/fuselage insulation in aircraft, mass transit, and many others.

Polydamp® Hydrophobic Melamine foam (PHM) is an enhanced version of PMF, offering exceptional water-resistance properties, previously unattainable with standard melamine foam, while maintaining all other key attributes. This melamine acoustic foam floats indefinitely in water; water streams bead-up on the surface and roll-off.

Applications range from HVAC and ECS ducts to wall/fuselage insulation in aircraft, mass transit, and many others.

Sound Barrier Material

Barriers

Polydamp® Acoustical Barrier, (PAB) is a flexible loaded vinyl based polymer designed to offer transmission loss properties over a broad frequency range.

Applications include bus, power generation and recreational equipment.

Polydamp® Acoustical Barrier with absorber (PABA), is a composite sound barrier material, consisting of an absorber foam with optional film facing, a loaded vinyl barrier and a foam decoupler layer.  It is available with urethane or melamine layers.

Applications include power generation, medical and vehicles.

Polydamp® Acoustical barrier floor-mat surfaces are a family of heavy duty floor-mats consisting of a loaded vinyl acoustical barrier, a non-skid abrasion resistant wear surface and a decoupler later.  Wear surfaces available are: Ribbed (PAB-RB), Pyramid (PAB-PY) and Modified Twist (PAB-MT) surfaces.

Applications include heavy trucks and equipment, floors and vehicle cabs.

Aircraft Composites

Polydamp Ultra-lite Hydrophobic Melamine Foam

Polydamp® Ultra-Lite Hydrophobic Melamine Foam (PHM-UL) foam is a lightweight version of standard PHM, offering a roughly 40% reduction in density while continuing to exhibit the same exceptional resistance to heat and water, flame propagation, smoke generation, and toxicity.

Insulation applications include fuselage, bulkhead, interior panel (outboard side), ECS ducting, and many others.

Polydamp Mass Fabrics

Polydamp® Mass Fabrics (PAB-H33XX) are a family of lightweight acoustical barriers for use in aircraft applications, offering extreme resistance to flame propagation and burn through while providing equal acoustical attenuation (dBA) at lower weights than competitive materials. The mass-loaded fabrics are typically used in combination with Polydamp Hydrophobic Melamine Foams to increase acoustical insulation performance, long-term durability, and burn through resistance to potential fires.

Insulation applications include fuselage, overframe, bulkhead, interior panel (outboard side) and many others.

Vibration Damping Material

Polydamp® Extensional Damping Pad (EDP) is a lightweight, extensional damping composite with a viscoelastic surface and aggressive pressure sensitive adhesive backing designed to reduce resonant vibration and resulting airborne sound. Provides effective vibration damping over a broad temperature and frequency range. Extremely durable, water resistant and odorless.

Applications include any plastic or metal panel in resonance, within engine compartments, enclosures, cab wall, floor and ceiling systems, door panels, etc.

Polydamp® V-0 Extensional Damping Pad  (EDPVO) is a UL94 V-0 listed, flexible extensional vibration damping material, supplied with an adhesive backing, designed for controlling vibration and noise in products whose surfaces are at or near resonance.

Applications include any plastic or metal panel in resonance, primarily in appliance and medical equipment where V-0 listed components are required, but also within engine compartments, enclosures, cab wall, floor and ceiling systems, door panels, etc.

Polydamp® ADA is an impregnated viscoelastic material with high quality pressure sensitive adhesives on both sides used to bond two substrates, creating a damped structural composite or constrained

Applications include bus and other equipment floors, firewalls, doors and cabinets.

Polydamp® Viscodamp (PVD) is a thin elastomeric sheet designed for use as a constrained layer vibration damping material between thick 6 mm (1/4") or thicker aluminum or steel plates to reduce resonant vibration/noise.

Applications include beams and plates on bridges, ships, seismic platforms, offshore oil platforms, heavy equipment and machinery.

Polydamp® Spray Damp (PSD) is an inorganically filled, water-based emulsion vibration damping compound, supplied in liquid form for spray or trowel-on application to substrates.

Applications include any complex surface where traditional, extensional damping materials are impractical; traditionally used in transportation equipment walls, panels, etc.

Thermal Insulation

Polydamp® Hydrophobic Melamine foam (PHM) is an enhanced version of PMF, offering exceptional water-resistance properties, previously unattainable with standard melamine foam, while maintaining all other key attributes.                   

Applications range from HVAC and ECS ducts to wall/fuselage insulation in aircraft, mass transit, and many others.

Polydamp® Low Emissivity Foam (PLE) is a lightweight, composite insulation material designed to address all three thermal issues: conduction, convection and radiation. Its composite construction of a reinforced aluminum foil on either side of a low-density, closed cell thermal insulation make it an ideal insulation material.

Applications include equipment where operators or components need to be kept at very stable temperatures, including walls, HVAC ducts, etc.

Polytech® Heat Shield (HS-0035-ALVA3) is an aluminum foil-faced fiberglass fabric and PSA composite designed to reflect radiant heat while offering excellent protection to high heat exposure.

Applications for this thermal insulation include gas tanks and any other area exposed to extreme heat from exhaust pipes, turbos, etc.

Polytech® Heat Shield Tubing (HST) is an aluminum foil-faced fiberglass fabric composite designed to reflect radiant heat while offering excellent protection to high heat exposure.    

Applications for this thermal insulation include hoses, tubes, etc. exposed to high heat and in need of thermal protection.

Polydamp® Vitreous Silicate Fiberglass Mat (PVSFG) is an inorganic vitreous silicate needle punched glass mat which addresses both sides of the health and safety issues concerning isolation products.  It is soft to the touch, yet strong and has excellent thermal shock resistance and low thermal conductivity.

Gasket Foam

Gasketing

Polytech® Vinyl Nitrile (PVN) is a Vinyl/Nitrile/Neoprene closed cell foam designed for use as a gasket or seal in a variety of environments. Excellent resistance to gasoline and other aliphatic hydrocarbons.

Applications include gaskets and seals in a variety of engine enclosures and equipment.

Polytech® High Density Polyurethane foam grade (PHU) is a low modulus open cell polyurethane foam. Behaves like a closed cell foam product when compressed and is an excellent seal. Significantly lower Compression Set than typical closed cell foam gaskets.

Applications include gaskets and seals around equipment doors as well as mounting and protective pads.

Polytech® Ultra Foam (PUF) is a closed cell vinyl foam designed for gasketing and sealing applications. Soft cellular gasketing material that has a lower force of compression than many closed cell foam materials.

Applications include seals between two irregular surfaces.

Polytech® Neoprene Blend Foam (PNB) is a Neoprene/EPDM/SBR closed cell blend foam.  Good resistance to weather, oxidation and ozone. Economical closed cell foam for a variety of uses.

Applications include gaskets and seals in a variety of engine enclosures and equipment.

Polytech® Cross Linked Polyethylene Foam (PCE) is a 2 lb/ft³ density cross-linked polyethylene closed cell foam.  Offers a smooth skin surface on both sides and a fine cell structure.

Applications include gasketing and cushioning around equipment doors.

Polydamp® Low Permeability Foam (LP-18) is a soft ether based polyurethane foam with low permeability but quick recovery. Excellent low-cost alternative to traditional closed cell foams in applications where moisture and air needs to be retained.

Applications include radiator seals and various gasketing applications within an engine environment.

Polytech® Silicone Foam grade 800 or 1000(PSL) is a soft cellular Silicone Foam.  Extremely resilient to mechanical fatigue and very resistant to compression set.  Excellent Flame Spread & Smoke Density values.

Applications include transportation, medical and other highly demanding applications.

Filtration  Foam

Filtration

Polytech® Reticulated Foam, Type - S (PRF) is an ester based urethane foam in which the membrane windows of the foam’s cell structure have been thermally removed.

Applications include heavy-duty air filters for trucks, buses and off-highway equipment.

Polytech® Reticulated Foam, Type - T (PRF-T) is an ether based urethane foam in which the membrane windows of the foam’s cell structure have been thermally removed.

Applications include heavy-duty air filters for trucks, buses and off-highway equipment.

Polytech® Reticulated Foam, Type - T (PRF-T) is an ether based urethane foam in which the membrane windows of the foam’s cell structure have been thermally removed.

Applications include heavy-duty air filters for trucks, buses and off-highway equipment.

Polytech® Reticulated Felted Foam (PRFF-900ZB) is a flexible, compressed urethane foam. PRFF is made from a reticulated ester or ether based polyurethane open-cell foam.

Applications include medical and business equipment.

Polytech® Drip-Dry Reticulated Foam (PRF-DD25) is a reticulated ether based polyurethane foam that sheds water and dries rapidly after exposure to rain, snow, washing or other forms of moisture.

Applications include radiator filters on outdoor equipment and also as air and/or water filters.
